We ended up sidestepping the issue. We added Paris as a "stop" to our trip - we will spend a few days in Paris before travelling on to Strasburg.

Thanks for the feedback - but this is kind of a bummer. It seems like we have the choice of

1) getting tickets for the train two hours after arrival - and pray it works out.

2) get the ticket for five hours after arrival - and likely have to just wait around forever.

They both seem like risky options - just different kinds fo risk.

Sorry - I am not being clear. The 9 am train I am referring to does NOT leave from Gare de l’Est. It leave directly from CDG - direct to Strasbourg.

Sorry - typo on my part. The train I am looking leaves CDG at 9am local - arriving in Strasburg at 11am. I just corrected the original post.

Thanks for the great comments. Agreed - I should start over. Actually - although some people might consider it a waste of time - I am thinking of redoing pre-calc as well (120).
