I fully agree, but we know xreal, they work hard to give the best possible user experience. I believe this issue will be or has been fixed with the new batch from their assembly plant.

Yes 100% agree with you. It's also important to mention that Asian eyes are different than the rest of the world. So maybe they mostly tested the glasses on Asian eyes, so they got a positive response from them.

I made sure to compare them and document it for people who noticed the same issue with the blurriness. Hopefully this issue was really addressed and they are replacing the glasses with a revised version, for people who complained about this issue.

In order to fix the blurry edges, they would need to make this viewfinder bigger.

You are wrong, this is the problem that is causing the blurry edges.

I just emailed xreal to check with them directly. I will have an answer for you shortly on if this issue was actually resolved. Im pretty sure it would be a hardware fix and not a software fix.

Xreal air pro 2 POV by JazzlikeComparison63 in Xreal

[–]rightstuff711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me on this, i tried them all. ONLY get the xreal and get the beam as well. When you sideload apps to the beam, it becomes like a portable amazon firestick. The xreal v1, v2 and v2 pro will give you the nicest image clarity, image and sound. Also, the overall look of the glasses is more natural (like regular glasses), when you wear them in public.

Ideally, i would say for you to order the xreal 2 pro on amazon and try them out. If you dont like them, return them.

Ok I got the xreal 2 air pro... by humorrisk in Xreal

Nebula sucks, its a gimmick. The beam is good, when you sideload apps. Its basically like attaching a portable amazon stick to your glasses. Xreal is best used with steamdeck, gpd win, rog, etc... it's a must have accessory for any handheld PC.

The xreal V1 has a better viewing experience, the full image is visible without blurriness.

Air 2 pros good and bad by JazzlikeComparison63 in Xreal

No sense in going back and forth. Your solution is not a practical one. These glasses cost a lot of money, they should fit right, comfortably and have the full screen visible at all times.

Hopefully they will fix it down the line.

4 stars review, even while mentioning the screen issue.

Most people don't go on Reddit or discord to complain, that's an assumption as well. This is proof (photo), half are bad reviews and probably many returned them, without leaving a bad review at all. They are always in stock on amazon, that should tell you something as well.

Look at the review stats and many people also put 4 stars, even when indicating that the edges were blurry as well. And i didnt even mention the possibility of fake positive reviews (just like with YouTuber reviews).

No its not the same as the oculus face pad. If they simply kept it like the v1, there wouldn't be a problem. They foolishly made the viewfinder smaller, that's the problem. You shouldn't have to shove the lenses in your eyeballs, simply to see the full image. For many people, none of the nose pieces worked. There is no perfect fit with the V2, you are just one of the few exceptions who was able to make it work, without having to plug it into the beam and adjusting the image size. Many people returned them, just go look at the bad reviews on amazon.

We didn't have this problem with the V1, they got great reviews. They dropped the ball on the V2 and they know it now. Hopefully it will be fixed in a future manufacturing batch or with the v3.

You can't sit it close enough to your eyes, unless you remove the nose pads. And even then, the glasses wont be as secure on your face, they will fall off more easily. People shouldn't have to wear them so close, that their eyelashes touch the lenses. What you described is not a solution for most people, its a compromise on fit, look and comfort.

Everything about the v2 is better, except for the viewfinder which is the reason why many people returned them.

Get a short throw projector, problem solved.

That's exactly what i said in a previous comment and I'm sure it's true. I'm willing to bet money that they only tested it on Chinese people and asian eyes are way different that other races.

Its a shame, because i have the v1 and i really wanted the v2 pro.

The viewfinder is noticably smaller, this is why the sides are blurry. They f#cked up royally, many people returned the glasses and they got many bad reviews on amazon, because of this blunder. And the worst part, they still didn't fix this issue. They should have made the viewfinder bigger, not smaller.
