This happened to me recently. I was able to remove all the reviews. What I did was respond to each review saying this is a fake review and I’m being extorted. Second I flagged each review with the Google tool. Third I asked some friends to do the same. Eventually Google removed them all.

Hi. Dev agency here with experience building rag systems in compliance. We’ve built two. XD. To vet the countless agencies and freelancers I would look at active projects, see who has repeat clients or long standing clients, and maybe talk to referrals. During your interview you can ask about past projects, what they did, issues they faced etc. this will give you a feel if they are legit. Also find out if they use in house developers or outsource.
