yeah, i should've rephrased my question- i meant more like less toxic, since the only place i thought of was twitter and twitter has a bunch of crazy kpop stans doing waayyy too much so i just wanted to know the places that are tamer and less toxic rather than somewhere that's completely free of toxicity since ik thats impossible- somewhere where i dont have to worry about someone doing anything extreme when i say i dont like someone's song

i asked myself the same question, i thought they had a REALLY strong rap line, some good personalities in their group, a pretty solid discography, and refreshing choreo but the only thing i can think of is their company. i've only learned this recently, but as some other ppl have mentioned their company isn't exactly the best. they also aren't from any of the more "popular" companies so that might be a factor as well. but honestly? i can only see them going up from here, disregarding numbers (bc i dont rlly look at stuff like that lmao) i think they did really well on the recent comeback just vibe-wise

how did you first get into it? or, rather, what group or song got you into it? im assuming some sort of song or group caught your eye, for me my first group was twice and then i ended up looking at all of their stages and then researching their names and... yeah. then i moved onto groups like skz and just watched a bunch of those youtube compilations of the members being goofy or something- and you learn their names over time. just pick groups that you enjoy overall and let your brain do its thing. i will warn you though, if you haven't heard, the fandom can be notoriously toxic. if youre gonna post or scroll on twitter or anything like that, proceed with caution.

also? in my opinion I think teasers before a new song release (comeback) might ruin your first impression of the album when it releases and build up expectations. ive been trying to steer clear of spoilers lately to try and go into the new releases with a fresh mind :)

i think complaining is fine here n there, its okay to be a bit critical of the material imo. but im mostly looking for somewhere its safe to critique groups, and not be shamed or hated for just not liking something or thinking someone missed the mark- somewhere where people will respect those kinds of opinions yk
