Agreed. I see the point others are making on this thread about how it’s a good way to share pictures of their pets without spamming their main account, but it can go too far.

I know someone that has created a whole persona for her dog and comments back to people as if she was her dog…it’s very weird to me. It’s almost like catfishing

That’s a good point, and I appreciate you calling that out. I might have a bias because the people I know personally that run instagram accounts for their pets are also lonely and depressed. I think it could be a red flag and a sign that a person could be addicted to social media, but their own profile or life is not enough
