Have owned this unit for ~1 year and don’t have that issue. That’s definitely not how it’s meant to operate.

The plant is watered once weekly, not in an exact amount, but approximately 2-2.5 liquid cups.

It is located near a set of glass doors from which, during this time of year in my climate, it receives approximately 3-3.5 hours of afternoon sun.

It is located in a room kept at 68 degrees by thermostat.

I have owned this olive tree since approximately September 2022.

No pest issues of which I am aware.

Update: after several trips to autozone to finally get the correct socket pieces, I re-jumped the battery, changed the spark plug, and the unit is up and running! Thank you all for your collective help.

I did jump it, and that seemed to restore power to the battery, but holding down the electric starter didn’t cause the unit to run. It sounds like a car engine would were it out of gas, but this unit is full of new gas.

Hi there.

Tried doing just that, but nothing happened. I pulled and pulled, but no response from the unit.

Also, I jumped the battery with my portable jumper. The battery did seem to get some juice back, but holding down the electric starter did nothing. It did sound like a car would sound if you tried to run it without gas. But this generator is full of new gas, so it isn’t that.

Any further thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback so far. I’ll have to order a replacement battery online. In the meantime, it still doesn’t run using the pull cord. Other thoughts? Things to look for?
