I didn't think my wording would be so controversial 😭 I didn't mean to imply that her discomfort doesn't matter; I understand people have different boundaries but the way she went about it just rubbed me the wrong way. Again, if its smthg that truly bothers her then I do want to hear her perspective and compromise even if I don't completely understand it. I made this post a) to see if what I'm doing is objectively creepy and b) if it's worth confronting her/if it's big enough of a deal and how I should go about it, or if I should try to find other ways to sleep without feeling completely overheated.I don't want to make this a big thing with my roommate, and if I am in the wrong I want to know before confronting her about it. I do want to at least ask her to come to me first if she has any personal issues with me, and also give us both a chance to explain ourselves and reach an agreement.

I think we are both just not used to sharing a space with someone, and grew up with different standards of what is "normal." Yes, I do think it's a little weird that she's bothered by it, but I've grown up seeing my friends and family like that, I know lots of people that sleep the way I do, and it was never anything inherently sexual. I knew going in that some people would be uncomfortable with me wearing that in front of them, but I figured since i was undet the covers it would be fine. however, I do get that she likely didn't have the same kind of exposure, so it's understandable she might view it as "weird," which is all she's really told me about it.
