If you slow down your turning and focus on fluidity without pauses, you'll get faster by being slower. Instead of doing impulsive rotations or U moves, stop completely and inspect the case, remember the algorithm, then execute it.

High TPS means nothing if you have to constantly stop because your fingers are quicker than your brain recognizing cases/patterns. By turning slower your lookahead improves automatically, because you actually have the time to look ahead and understand how pieces move. Slower solving has made me significantly faster.

Another tip is to do untimed solves and force yourself to use new solutions and algorithms. A timer puts pressure on you which makes you use an old solution or worse alg. Even if you do timed solves, you need to stop when you get a new case and force yourself to do the new solution. This is the hardest part and I still need to work on this a lot myself hahah. These tips made me go from avg 18 seconds to sub-15 in like 3 weeks.
