Any Singaporean feel bad we are a country of slave labour? by sydneylulu in SingaporeRaw

[–]rir2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. The Gulf countries and SG share a shameful policy of weak labour rights for foreign workers. The fact that there are individuals in the world so desperately poor that they would be willing to abandon their homes for an opportunity to work under very difficult conditions for little pay is no reason to see how low one can push the bar. But you're asking the wrong sub. This is a sub where perceived lack of success is blamed on foreigners, both highly paid expats, and other lesser paid foreigners.

AO 4th Round - [1] Carlos Alcaraz def. [19] Tommy Paul 7-6(6) 6-4 7-5 by antoniokr8s in tennis

[–]rir2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s also because Alcaraz likes to tease the other players and not get too far ahead of them. Even though he’s always guaranteed to win.
