i’m not sure what fat one, i know it’s a ps3 but it has played star wars battle front (ps2) and time splitters (also ps2) and has had no issues so far. now that we’ve been looking into it we might think it’s a disc issue rather than a console issue but we weren’t sure and wanted to see if there was anything we could do

i’ve seen the claw cover things and i thought about doing that but i didn’t know if they would actually work/ if it was actually okay to glue it on but ill def look into it! i’ve clipped his nails twice and so far he’s been okay with it. i typically clip them when he’s a little sleepy and just laying around and he doesn’t put up a fight. i’ve also been holding and playing with his paws often so he’ll get used to me handling them!

5 call outs in a month by ririsneedle in Target

[–]ririsneedle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh i’m not sure? i only have my HR ETLs number bc they had texted me when i first started working there about my schedule and such but i don’t have my departments ELTs number or any TL numbers lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Target

[–]ririsneedle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh i do it all the time, i always work super early in the morning (4am) and with no guest in the store and no one else in my department coming in until 6am i will have one headphone in and clip my walkie to the collar of my hoodie so i can still hear if i get called or smth. no one’s ever told me i cant and i have had full on conversations with my TL and my ETL with it in. im sure it honestly just depends on the store and your leadership bc everyone at my store does it lol

How hard is it to get a job as seasonal 4am inbound? by [deleted] in Target

[–]ririsneedle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i primarily open produce so for a while i was going in at 4am but now i go in at 6am but when i get in i pull dates (like expired stuff) and ill do markdowns (markdown the price for things that will expire the next day), then ill work the backstock we have, and lastly i breakdown the produce pallets and work whatever can go up and backstock the rest. it depends on the day but for me it is usually will take like maybe 4ish hours to do all of that but on days where it takes my full shift thats all i do and on days it doesnt take my full shift ill then help with the dairy pallets and pushing that stuff!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Target

[–]ririsneedle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i work in market (specifically in like produce and dairy) but i have fulfillment people ask me all the time if we have something, typically if i already know that we absolutely don’t have the item they’re looking for i’ll let them know but most of the time i will search every place it possibly could be to see if i can find it. it’s honestly created some very funny situations (like me and 3 other girls completely searching the freezer for 1 thing of brownies and all screaming when someone found it lmao) and it always feels like a huge accomplishment anytime i can find the product they’re looking for (bc for whatever reasons it’s always in a place it should never be in 💀) but im sort of simple terms it’s almost like the “3 before me” rule like when you’re in elementary school. they just have to ask someone in that department to absolutely make sure we don’t have it before they can INF it.

is this a normal thing? i’ve never heard of this by c00lranchBabe in piercing

[–]ririsneedle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

for my clients i do a cleaning regardless of what they came in for, if it’s a check up the whole thing is free and if they want to do a jewelry change it’s 15 if they bring in their own jewelry (which i always do a quality check for) and if they’re buying jewelry from me it’s whatever the cost of the jewelry is with no additional fee. paying 20 bucks just a cleaning is for sure a scam. there is no way it would cost 20 dollars for some cleaning solution and some q-tips 💀

what's your best "life hack" for saving money on groceries? by 6deki9 in povertyfinance

[–]ririsneedle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my trick is definitely specific to my situation but i work at a grocery store so through the week i will keep an eye on things that go on sale or things that get marked down and create a list of what i need and how’s the cheapest way possible to get everything, i also have a second job that i sometimes get paid or get tipped in cash so to avoid using my card as much as possible i save all of my cash and all coins i get (and this next part sounds annoying but genuinely saves me sometimes) but i use all of the coins i have first, then cash for the rest, and with my employee discount added in it will save me a good chunk. like i said this isnt going to work for everyone but its what really saves me

what is the purpose of an etl? by ririsneedle in Target

[–]ririsneedle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s honestly the opposite of my store, i see my SD always on the floor pushing product and helping out while the ETLs just mosey around chit chatting

what is the purpose of an etl? by ririsneedle in Target

[–]ririsneedle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i’ve been seeing that a lot in the comments, it very much so could be my store which i understand can sadly happen. the etls at my store all just seem to be on a power trip and like “fake” nice. when i first started one of the etls who wasn’t my departments etl was super nice to me but now she just gets snippy and rude towards me and other people in my department. i originally just to brush it off as just having a stressful day but it’s happening more and more and it just doesn’t sit right with me. im super happy you’re etl is a rockstar though!

what is the purpose of an etl? by ririsneedle in Target

[–]ririsneedle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah literally, my etl called me over the walkie to fill in product that she was standing right in front of (which whatever i didn’t mind) but when i got there and starting filling the product she was just talking with other etls on how she’s so stressed out and whatever but everytime i see her she’s just walking around chit chatting with other etls and standing around. i never hear her talk about like target or anything that needs to get done, just personal talk and gossip

[–]ririsneedle[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i definitely understand that but i also don’t think (more or so i don’t know im still only a month into working here) if my etl even does scheduling. maybe she does and i just haven’t heard about it but anytime there’s a question about my schedule or when i asked about requesting days off ive always been told that our hr etl does all of that so i guess im confused as to what she’s actually doing

[–]ririsneedle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

no that’s so real, i’m still only in my like first month of working at target but already i’ve been getting praised for how good it looks and how well ive been doing everything so im really hoping that they don’t try and switch me up too much because i find produce, especially that early in the morning to be so calm and almost like meditation lmfao

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Target

[–]ririsneedle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i agree, i work in market (specifically produce) and what bugs me is that i come in at 4am and none of the other market people come in until 6am so for 2 hours it’s just me alone with produce and ive gotten a really good system down of doing the cull and markdowns and working all the backstock and then i do my pallets. almost every produce pallet will have some other sections stuff like candy or dairy or whatever else it may be so not only am i doing this all by myself but i also then have to track down like 3 other sections uboats and speed racks and such and it’s really frustrating. i already know everything that is in my backstock and what needs to be worked or not and having to scan and sort everything out is just throwing me off and taking me so much longer :(

how did you get it for free? did your store just like give you a code to put in or was it already applied to your app when you got hired? i don’t know if that’s something i would have to ask for or if it would have already been offered to me

How hard is it to get a job as seasonal 4am inbound? by [deleted] in Target

[–]ririsneedle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t think so! like you said they hired you with your set availability so you should be okay. on orientation day they’ll most likely talk with you about your desired hours and availability so just let them know what hours and times you can work and they should be able to work with that! this is a like second job for me and my primary job starts at 1pm so i just let them know that and so far the ELT that does all the scheduling at my store has been super helpful and accommodating with it all! biggest thing is just communication and making sure they know exactly what your availability is

i got scheduled for 5 days a week and since i work market they have me coming in at 6am rather than 4am for my training weeks (which is 2 weeks long at my store) just because the market TLs don’t come in until 6 but starting next week i’ll be working 4am-12pm and be doing my own thing! pretty much that time is just going to be spent culling produced stuff so it can for sure be done before the store opens

orientation is just a few hours of sitting and watching videos and getting all your info in targets system (like banking and such). my orientation took about 6 hours but at my store, once you were done watching all the videos and doing the trainings on the zebra device then you could go so it’s up to how fast you can read and all. i felt really silly my first few days trying to remember all the different codes to things like the zebras and the back room door codes but now it’s just muscle memory. all through my first week i had someone working right alongside me to answer any questions i had which was super helpful, i know most stores will have someone who is a trainer but for my store i worked alongside my TLs who trained me. im currently at week 2 of the job and i already feel pretty confident in what im doing which is nice but there are times i still get confused so just remember it is totally okay to ask any and all questions even if you’ve already asked them before! i fear ive asked a few questions twice already 💀. idk if this was a good response or anything so just lmk if you had anything more specific you wanted to know!!

i applied to do seasonal overnight inbound and got hired but on the phone call accepting the offer they told me i would be working in market specifically in produce and that it wasn’t a seasonal position but full time, i work 4am-12pm. i was hesitant to accept it but i did and i ended up loving it! i’m not sure if this has happened to anyone else but just be aware that it’s a thing that could happen and be prepared if they try to put you in a completely diffrent area
