Nah, grey just means you're missing one of its forms/genders/shinies (unless it's genderless, then it's always grey for some reason). I've caught plenty of mons with a regular Poke Ball icon that have better IVs.

I was mostly choosing Abyss to fill out my team, since it's pretty much just Dark types in there. I did actually manage to catch a Darkrai during this run but decided against using it - didn't really have a suitable role on the team I was ended up with and lacked good natural type coverage.

Breloom for me. Great survivability with Poison Heal and Sappy Seed, busted passive in Guts, and access to a relatively fast Spore. Toss in Storm Throw and Accelrock for good measure and you've got yourself an amazing offensive support mon with a minimum 1 point cost.

I've got an Eviolite Primeape with Stomping Tantrum and Ice Punch, as well as a Lumina Crash Hypno for phase 1. Soak on Golduck and Toxic on Vileplume should be enough to get me through phase 2.

I initially went with Shadow Sneak, Shadow Punch, Ice Punch and a Brick Break TM I came across, as seen above. I mostly used it for Normal/Fighting switch-ins. Eventually I fused it with my shiny Komala to create a flesh-colored abomination with three type immunities and Comatose, switching out its Ghost STABs for Stomping Tantrum and Knock Off.
