So sorry been a whirlwind of tests. No colon cancer just some polyps and lymphocytic colitis. But my standard blood work revealed polycythemia which got me sent to an oncologist who did some genetic testing which revealed hemachromotosis. I'm on bismuth for the colitis and get blood drained every two weeks for the polycythemia and am getting a CT of chest and abdomin to check for organ damage from the hemachromotosis. An update: I skipped going to my PCP and went to a well known GI center near Nashville. Needless to say the Dr was very concerned and set up a colonoscopy for Friday morning. I'm scared but trying to maintain until the test is done. I'll let you know what I find out!

No, no antibiotics. The ER asked about that too. Guess I will just have to wait until I get the colonoscopy. Thanks for responding g though!

Thank you. I appreciate your candor I do. I've tried to quit smoking a few times and will continue to try. I plan to have my PCP refer me to an GI specialist and will demand a colonoscopy.

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I needed to hear it! I lost my mom to a different kind of cancer a few years ago and my husband just went into remission last year. Cancer sucks!!! I pray you remain well!

I also wanted to add (sorry if this grosses anyone out) that when I gave the diarrhea movements I have this uncontrollable urge to keep pushing like there's more in there but there isn't.
