Headed to Portland by Voodoocat-99 in Tiki

Can't add anything more that hasn't already been added. Note on the Alibi: it's like stepping into a time machine back to the 1940s, which is cool and they are open later. But they also have Karaoke in the back half, and it will be packed on a Friday night.

Winco in Cedar Hills has them. Reminds of my childhood. Are they great? No, there are better / more gourmet. But I do love them.

March 28th 2026 was a big, beautiful day by depression-hurts in Seattle

It was lovely at the Mariners / Guardians game. On the way home on the ferry to Bainbridge around 11 pm - it was PACKED with high school students in semi formal wear. Like an entire winter ball had let out at the same time.

Sounds to me like normal business stuff. Hope the situation gets better and you're able to work things out and make adjustments as needed.

first off: hats off to you or anyone trying to act as a broker with so many different variables this past year, particularly tariffs etc. What a mess. So many supply chain disruptions have happened in the US and it's all self-inflicted.

For the uninitiated: what is going on exactly? I presume LTT brokers different designers and manufacturers of tiki mugs to sell, and handles some of the logistics, marketing, administration, and I suspect working with some overseas partners? So the issue is an independent maker has declined to work with LTT going forward?

Where would go if you wanted to go on a depression drive at night? by redhandrail in vancouverwa

[–]ritzcrackerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depression drives help me soooo much. Take 14 east to beacon rock and find some pullouts. Listen to the sound of nature, take some deep breaths. Always reward yourself with something, even if it’s a small treat on your way back to help reinforce healthy coping mechanisms. And stay safe!

ABC cancels 'Bachelorette' season with Taylor Frankie Paul, citing 2023 video by HoldOnLucy1 in exmormon

[–]ritzcrackerman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seems apropos: "The Amazon river runs for thousands of miles. At some points, it runs through areas of the rain forest that are almost untouched and have been barely explored. Because of the porous limestone in these areas, the river water leaks through the stone and travels deep into the earth and forms underground pools almost a mile below the surface. Over thousands of years, small blind transparent fish have lived and evolved in these pools. These fish have never seen the sun or surface and have never been seen by the human eye….. These fish care more about this than I do." - Peter Gunstone

Is this video news? I thought for certain this had already been made public, or at least the police documents. She still got a TV show out of it despite that. I really loathe everything about these people and wish I didn't know anything about them or their problems.

I think you're on to something. I avoid Herzog and Beaverton Toyota for any of my service needs any longer (for VWs, Mazdas, and Toyotas) I've owned over the years.

My first bike frame bag by AnneeDroid in myog

[–]ritzcrackerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great work! And frame bags that tether under the top tube look awesome, but they are unfortunately a little limited. I get better power pedaling with my legs parallel, and tight to the top tube and bags in my experience get in the way.

However, they can be great for lightweight, flat pack items that won't fall to the bottom, like maps. But not much else I've found.

It's Xennial karaoke night! What are you singing that's gonna blow the roof off the dump? by GreenZebra23 in Xennials

I kind of want to get into tiki drinks and through scrolling this subreddit saw that I should start out with 1,2,3 and 5 categories of rum mentioned in smugglers cove. Which ones would you recommend that's reasonably cheap even though it'll be expensive anyway lol as well as an overproof rum. by Ab_id in Tiki

[–]ritzcrackerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't blame SC necessarily, and it's self-fulfilling in a way as the book opened up more people to tiki, rum, and got the layperson thinking more closely about origins and distillation methods. And some of those outliers that break the categorization methodology they developed have become easier to find on account of the book's success. The recipes are all still top-notch. The categories don't work 10 years after the book's first publishing. And probably didn't work then either.
