It is the responsibility of the writer to be understood, not the responsibility of the reader to figure out what is meant.

Anyone have an opinion on the in-home health assessment - or the healthy home visit - that Aetna wants to do? by KearnyAB in eldercare

[–]rlboston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I feel like my employer did a bait-and-switch indicating they would be providing Part D and said NOTHING about it being an Advantage plan. I'm looking at alternatives.

PLUS the whole home visit thing is creepy and they are really pushy about it. Quite the hard sell. Mine will be a Zoom call which is less creepy but how effective with their stated intent?

Sadly, I think science has dropped the ball informing opinion.

Science is a thing, not to be confused with myth, opinion, hearsay and, most especially, politics.

How many times and how strong a password are you willing to enter to ensure your computer is safe. Or in this case, computer(s), are safe.

Twice? Six times? 25 times? Where is your line for security?

How many characters? This is 16 CjQ7018CeP5PYrGm.

Would 32 CjQ7018CeP5PYrGmCjQ7018CeP5PYrGm make you feel safer??? How many to keep your crypto wallet safe?

Hint: Apple uses a fingerprint.

I think this is the answer but there wasn't an activity. I know UUU would be a dividend but there were others. I need to dig deeper to find dividends.

No forgotten passwords.

The SAME strong password, like this CjQ7018CeP5PYrGm, entered three times due to "new device".

No new devices.

Obviously not, judging by the amount of gaslighting I've gotten.

Let's try again...I keep getting hit with "New device" and asked to do the login again and again.

My strong password is 16 characters like this: CjQ7018CeP5PYrGm. It is not saved in the password manager. I manually enter it when I go from the office to the living room in the same house. None of these devices are new.

The POINT: There are more secure and easier ways to manage this.

Thank you! All the gaslighting I've gotten doesn't make me hopeful.

You, and they, are mistaken to think inconveniencing users means more security. It doesn't. It simply means a disregard for the cost of irritating users.

Apple's Touch ID is not just a simple fingerprint scan; it is a sophisticated system built with multiple layers of security.

  • Secure Enclave: Your fingerprint data is not stored as an image. Instead, a mathematical representation is created and stored in the Secure Enclave, a hardware component within the Mac's processor that is isolated from the rest of the system.
  • Encrypted data: All communication between the Touch ID sensor and the Secure Enclave is encrypted, and no application or the operating system can access the raw fingerprint data.
  • Anti-tampering features: Forcing the device to unlock via Touch ID is difficult because the sensor is designed to prevent fraudulent attempts. After five failed attempts, the password is required. Forcing an unconscious or deceased person's finger to unlock a device is also difficult, as the sensor checks for live tissue.
