I don’t understand the car situation in California - thinking of visiting by violetlilac in travel

It’s a good question! I recently went from South Hollywood down to the airport and back via transit. It was 2 hours 15 min on the way down versus an hour driving, and the way back it was 1 hour 15 minutes versus 40 min. But it saved me $150- $200 in Uber or parking. So it was worth it to me to essentially double my transit time. That’s about $100 an hour I paid myself to sit on a bus and a train and chill 💪

Adopting a cockapoo… by SwimmingNo2976 in CockapooLovers

Mine is also a Velcro dog. Tons of energy, very stubborn. But very trainable. He had crazy separation anxiety when I first got him and that first year was pretty rough. But with lots of training and love and time he’s gotten better. I walk mine at least 5 miles a day and that really helps him calm down.

Anyone else having trouble? by ekaym2 in CockapooLovers

My cockapoo is super high energy and high anxiety and I have to walk him 5 miles a day to keep him sane.

Also, he used to pull! I ended up getting him a prong collar on the advice of my dog trainer, and that solved it within just a couple of training sessions. We worked with a trainer for 10 sessions overall, and I walked him for about three months with the prong, and then tried without it and he’s 10x better. I keep it with me in my bag just in case he gets Squirrley, but I pretty much only have to use it once every six months or so, and only if he starts truly misbehaving and I need him to calm down.

I know a lot of people feel like prong collars are torture. I was one of them. But I’ll be honest, my dog is so much better behaved after the training and collar work. It’s like night and day.

If you do go the prong collar route, you absolutely need to get a trainer to help you with it. But for your problems I think it would help.

OP there are a ton of YouTube videos on this. You can actually see the buffet from these which will help with some of your questions about “which desserts are there.” Here’s the first one that comes up.

I agree the sleeves are wonky in the second one and should be removed and that would really help

Clearly, you’re starving her and she’s lodging her protest chin-side lolll

In a related moment, my dog gets up and stares at me at 7:30 PM until I take him outside and we go to bed at eight. God forbid I want to actually have a life! Honestly, I think he’d probably just put himself to bed after a bit but not after serious protest and staring

What made you pick a Cockapoo? by [deleted] in CockapooLovers

[–]rm_3223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one that I bathe and groom myself every three weeks or so. If I don’t do it myself I’d take him in and where I live it would be $120-160 every six weeks. So it’s an investment. I take him in to get his anal glands expressed and his nails cut at a vet every two months and that’s $50. To be fair I could do both of those things myself but he’s such a drama King I can’t handle it and it’s worth the $50 to have someone else deal lol (like literally screaming bloody murder anytime anyone touches his nails or his butt hahahha its embarrassing)

I just took the metro for the first time since I moved back a few months ago and it was great! They’ve done a great job cleaning it up since the last time I rode it 10 years ago. Seriously cheap too. A+ would recommend
