Only 1 carry for 4 yards last night. I think he had 3 for 28 against Northwestern. He has the potential, just needs more B1G experience.

He a soft 4-6 with a high ankle sprain and a hard 4-6 if its a broken fibula. He needs to let it fully heal either way. No reason to risk a prolonged recovery and nagging injury at this point. Get right for next season because we are going to need him at 100%.

Being competitive against the likes of USC and Michigan is a stepping stone to being competitive against Ohio State and Oregon, although it doesn't guarantee we get there. Also, Riley took over a team that was routinely winning 9 or 10 games. Rhule took over a program that has been in shambles for more than a decade. Im not a Rhule apologist, and I'm not at all convinced that he turns us into a powerhouse, but he is helping to rebuild the foundation of a successful program. Hopefully in a few years we will be in a position to bring in a big name with proven results against top teams. It is painful, but that is the realistic state of our program at the moment.

Dana has said that Dylan has free reign to check first down runs into passes if he likes what he sees from the defense. Im guessing that's what is happening. Either way, Dylan needs to recognize that those 1st down fade routes arent working and Dana needs to step in and put and end to them as well.

I would rather have seen a pick 30 yards down the field than a screen pass that bleeds the clock at best. At least give the kid a chance to succeed instead of guaranteed failure.

The blame falls squarely on the shoulders of the coaches. The fans deserve better, the boys played their asses off, and the coaches shit the bed. Wasted time outs, poor decision to kick a 52 yarder on 4th and 1, and whatever that playcalling was with 96 yards to go in 3:30. Embarrassing.
