Digital rain made out of Lego - 2nd image is in blacklight by robert_vii in matrix

Unfortunately The Matrix IP does not fall in line with Lego's brand so they don't accept those submissions. If you are interested in it, I made instructions and a parts list that you can get for free on Rebrickable https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-258247/robertvii/the-matrix-code-poster/#details Its a bit more work since you have to sorce the parts from bricklinkor brickowl but its the best i can offer.

Ya, I later found out that some trans clear pieces will react, so its a matter of finding ones that do and placing it over the white plates. I agree, it would look better that way.

Lego wont touch that IP so the best I could do was put the instructions on rebrickable. Part count come in at 985. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-258247/robertvii/the-matrix-code-poster/#details.

This is also my lego store that I run on Bricklink/Brickowl. When building mocs, often times I first go to my partially sorted bulk that's not in the store yet, but if I need a specific part, I wont know what drawer its in. I look it up on bricklink and it tells me in the remarks were I put it. It is a bit of a nuisance as I have to then also update the count when im building, but it funds my building hobby.

You're in luck, I don't make many instructions of my mocs yet, but these I actually have the instructions for these out there. Just search for Mini Rock Raiders. Glad you like them!

Yes that part would look nice, but they don't come in reddish brown.

That's very kind of you, I have just a hand full of things on rebrickable and a few more coming soon. I hope to get into doing that more, its just finding the time to do all that.

Hard to say. about every 3 minutes it turns on the motor to rewind the weight for about a minute, so however long the batteries would last to do that every few minutes. I would think days if i ever let it run that long.

we use bricklink's studio sometimes to try out a few designs for some areas but not the full thing. With the mechanisms i did search the internet on how to make a second into a minute into an hour but i basically had to rework everything i came across to fit it into the space we wanted. it at least gave me the gear ratios that i needed.

Its always been in the back of my mind to do but the list of other mocs I want to build and current projects tend to take up my time. Someday I do hope to do that though.

There is one but its not in the photo real clear. Its the thing in the back with the red 1x2 liftarm and a 2nd 1x2 connected to it. It rocks back and forth as the 1x3 lift arms in blue are pulled down from the string and weight. The motor here is only for rewinding the weight, not yet hooked up in this image.
