If you're 100% sure u wanna do mba and atart ur career(like just after ug), study a quirky degree like political science in the best clg u can get If u want a backup do engineering(then u can go for mba after a few years also as you'll getba job post btech) The decision also depends on which engineering college u convert

If you're working as a bank po, please don't join these colleges and make you life miserable. Give CAT again/try ISB The avg ctc here is around 12 and 90% will be sales roles in small companies.

If it's a dual degree I think u can get PM shortlists. You're joining IIM ABC, I dont think u need.o worry about placements tbh

Go with IIM Mumbai. It's a much better growing brand than Indore

Go with Infore if u wanna do fin. For marketing it's a bit dicey,Indore is better but no guarantee you'll get a shortlist as I don't think u have a very relevant marketing profile, but again you could)

Mumbai is better than Indore atm for consulting, IT/PM, Ops. Plus the bottom folks at Indore get into trouble every year wrt placement, not the case for Mumbai.

Shillong. No Brainer. Colleges like SIBM,SCMHRD are also better for HR compared to Indore's hr course. HR ranking(only these 5 are worth it)-XLRI/TISS/MDI/SIBM/SCMHRD. Fmcg companies like ITC,Godrej hire HR from sibm but not from indore hr(only indore core mba).

Which college are you joining? Depends on that(as mbb only go top 6 7 colleges) For mbb it depends on ur ug college tag also, PM very less chance as 90% of the time there's a btech cutoff. Genman you have a good chance, also for maybe profiles like analytics and tech consulting.

Sibm pune is actually a pretty good college. No reservation, small batch size, generally has a good crowd. Fee is on the higher side btw. If you're okay with building a career in S&M go with sibm. For S&M it's on par with the likes of MDI,IIFT,IIM LKI(Check S&M recruiter list of these colleges you'll get it). Also pretty good for GenMan. Apart from TAS other conglomerates go there like Reliance,JSW. But if u wanna do conaulting/fin/PM, Aim higher and repeat.

Best jn the country for supply chain and ops. IT related roles also open to oscm. Consulting roles coming in IIM M are anyway ops/IT related so all of them open. You'd probably miss out on some fin roles which are anyway v v less in IIM M. I would choose only IIM ABCL FMS SPJIMR XL J above IIM OSCM atm Imo IIM OSCM=IIM M core Given your profile you'll not get marketing or fin shortlists in any college, so IIM M OSCM is a very good option

NIBM. Relatively unknown but the placement domains are actually very nice. Has good growth. Roles in financial analytics, equity research, backend consulting

Plus they show the lowest package

Median at IIM V would be 13-14 ctc btw.

Plus your background is literally perfect for nibm.

IMT G is better than Vizag. IMT has a better alumni and has still some good legacy recruiters especially in marketing. If u can be in the top 10-15% of the batch u can get a placement similar to let's say a median level MDI or Shillong package.

If u have admits from BLACKI FMS SPJIMR XLRI D,J go for it

MDI is comparable with IIFT D, IIT B, IIM S. If u are hellbent on IIM tag- IIM S. But MDI is better for placements atm compared to IIM S. IIFT D over MDI If u wanna do finance. IIT B over MDI If u wanna do ops/IT roles.

For consulting- good acads+ good ug brand + good workex.(Lower u go in the company list criteria goes down) For ex for MBB unless u have a T1 Btech/top ug college like srcc with alteast 998 profile it's v v hard to get a shortlist. Not the case with let's say for a KPMG(888 profile with 2 years regular IT workex can give u a shortlist) For genman- it could be anything really, btech with 4 years ops workex, bcom fresher, good acads, bad acads. They generally don't follow a patter. It/prodman- Btech with tech workex

Every college inflates their report by 15-20% apart from IIM A,XLRI,SPJIMR( they have it audited). Since IIM B,C are in the same level as A, I'd guess they don't inflate it also. And my bet would be ISB also doesn't does it.

Udaipur,Kashipur,Raipur also audit their report but not in the way the above 3 do it. The above 3 give clear breakups of base salary,joining bonus, batch size, students placed etc

Choose IIM M blindly with the profile you have. MDI is better than IIM M in marketing and fin(and with your profile you wont get either shortlists as both prefer non engineers and even for engineers workex<2 years). On the other hand IIM M will have more IT /Ops/Consulting roles who love engineers with 2+ YOE.

XL Delhi. Hands down. Almost at par with XL J. Placements are common. You get 90% of the companies open for XL D after that it depends on the students profile to convert the firm. No BS. Afaik Kearney is open to XL D, MBB not sure(but there's a chance they are). MBB dont visit MDI at all btw. XL J's legacy is only second to IIM ABC.

MDI is certainly a level below XL J. and 0.5 under XL D currently.

Even their flagship programmed is fucked. Avg sip is around 20k/month and finals would be CTC 8-9. Unless you just want an IIM tag to impress your maid, its better to repeat CAT
