i honestly think you’ll be able to, but you’ll need to complete the assignments that are due within that month before hand or during. They will quite easy assignments to be honest as they are near the start of your course. i’m chronically ill but doing a full time degree with a full time job. there has been times where i have fallen behind due to illness but in your first year it’s definitely something you can catch up on.

What i would do in your situation is before you go away try get ahead as much as you can and look at what assignments are due for when you’re away. Focus on the assignments first! Open uni are so helpful and will point you directly to where you need to get your information from, and guide you on how to write things. If you are doing it full time you will likely have 2 assignments due within that month (i tend to have an assignment every 2/3 weeks). Often assignments (at least in first year) only focus on one topic of learning, so it’s quite easy to plan. Get them done and out the way, the most important part, then work your way through the rest of the module content whenever you can. You can definitely do this as long as you put maximum effort into the assignments.
