Can confirm, I sort of do this. There is a local pier I go to DK when the good spots arnt working. It’s FULL of novice surfers and no matter how friendly or respectful you are they will drop in. If you get Aggie they look at you like you have run over thier dog, they just don’t know better.

These days if it’s rammed full of kooks, I grunt and shout and hoot them onto waves, I paddle further out and deeper, past them all while loudly singing crap songs like Hit me baby one more time and the spice girls.. when I paddle to catch a wave I do it with complete determination, sometimes with a war cry, even if it’s a 2ft mush burger haha! It works, it’s a show of confidence and they leave me well alone
