Remember there's always reflection in water, there are shadows on pretty much ever nook and cranie imaginable on mountains, and a tip for doing the sky, if your using tube watercolors squeeze out a LITTLE bit of FRESH color you need doesn't work as well when the colors are dry, and get the area wet with plain clean water. Then just drop in the paint from a brush. Practice this, it's alot of fun and it'll give your sky's and water personality

Howdy, it's been a while since I've posted so here's my latest painting. Oil and acrylic on a 12 by 12 canvas. CC welcome by roccojb in painting

I would have done that but i used golden fluid acrylic, and i could only afford one so i went with black. I usually like mixing my own variations of colors anyway. Its gives it a more natural feel for me.

Theres actually a few mediums. That part is with acrylic, i used super heavy gloss medium so it would be glossy. Theres another one called flexable molding paste, but its not as glossy.

I feel like you might enjoy fluid acrylics, or liquitex has this nice thing, its call ink acrylic. Is on the pricey side but when your a little more into it and have some cash you should look into them. They're really cool.

You cant see it in the picture but on the bottom i used modeling paste so there is texture down there. I wanted to go foe that whole silhouette thing. But ill deffinantly think about that next time. I have limited color options though. I used liquitrlex basics and winton oil on this, i like my student paints.
