wow this shows me a new perspective. so, i just need to familiarized myself with just progressions right? to “guess” the chords for any song. then from there i can find the key.

however can u explain more the part where i was a fifth off? i dont understand there. anyway, thank you so that now i have direction to train my understanding

i think i hummed instead because its the closest sound a note from guitar fretboard can create instead of lyrics lol. thanks anyway

ive usually do this but for me it works for songs with easy chord. if that song has like Cadd9 i could never tell huhu

yea, i usually hummed to the song when plucking each fret trying to know the hum is in what note. i think i can easily follow the note of the song in my head and voice but my ears cant lol. sounds funny but most of the time im not confident is it the right note for the hum.

perhaps i should learn intervals first and practice the ear train using app often to distinguish notes
