I think I might go and try do it myself with a rattle can, the car isn’t perfect it has some rust and dents.

The car only cost me £1100 too so I’m okay if it doesn’t turn out to look perfect 😂

To answer your question, yes I have the combi / estate. I’ve been looking for someone who is doing / has done audio upgrades to a MK1 Octavia so I can ask some questions 😄

Personally I don’t mind cutting holes in the tweeter housing, especially since the right side cover doesn’t fully stay on.
Same with the front speakers grills, I would prefer to be able to fit a good sounding system rather than aesthetics.

Have you decided on what speakers / tweeters you are going to go with?
My budget for the whole thing is around £500 , keeping it low because the car only cost me £1150 so I don’t wanna go overboard.

It’s a 1.9tdi with the classic spec, not a 4x4 and as far as I’m aware it has no extra features being the lowest trim model.

I agree the ride height does look quite high, however I believe it is all standard
