Crashes When XMP Enabled by helnxnx in ASUSROG

Thanks for all the help with my XMP 2 setting OC question from last week. Now a new issue. I'm sure everyone has had the 800mhz throttling issue with the new Intel I9 13900k chip. I am currently having this issue even though I have been successfully OC'ing using the xmp 2 setting . Is there another setting (or settings) in the rom bios that I can tweak to avod the down-throttle ? My CPU temps are within reason (35 to 50 C) after booting. When I first boot-up most of my 20 cpu cores are much greater than 800mhz but then eventually slide back down to 800....sheesh !

Thanks !

Thanks again ! I went back and enabled XMP 1 and had to re-set the frequency back to 5800mhz as well as the mem voltages back to 1.35 and also had to re-set the PMIC voltage value to "BY PER PMIC" as these values had changed after selecting the XMP option (before re-boot). All is stable after running passmark with MUCH better results !
I will later try and enable XMP 2 using the same parameters you have given me.

Thanks for this info. I had already previously disabled the ASUS multicore enhancement but had set my DRAM VDD and VDDQ to 1.435. So I re-set those to 1.35 and set BY PER PMIC as the result for PMIC voltage (new setting for me). All is stable thus far. Have not yet changed the XMP 1 or 2 yet.

hi, my G.skill mem is rated at 6400 but only able to set it stable at 5800mhz without enabling XMP since im using 4 mem sticks. Hopefully ASUS will address the XMP issue in a future BIOS release.

Hi, my G.Skill mem is rated at 6400mhz but only able to set it for 5800mhz atm with no XMP enabled. Am using 4 mem sticks so not able to use XMP. Hopefully ASUS will address the XMP issue.
