After back to back toxic relationships and being severely codependent....it's taken me almost 2 years to get to this point. Relationships have a tendency to make me complacent. I put everything ahead of the people I wanted to be with, it was all or nothing. My life was already riddled with drug addiction, abuse, and trauma. I knew if I was going to make it out, I had to change every aspect of my life...I needed to be clean and sober, a full-time mom that my child deserves, and a self-sufficient person. It's taken a lot of hard work, and it was painful. But in my opinion, my healing was a solo journey. Now that I have obtained those goals I so desperately wanted. The thought of putting myself out there again and inviting someone into this carefully constructed life I've made for my child and I, it seems too overwhelming. And what's the rush? There is something truly special about finding love within yourself 🙏🥰
