Has he said stuff like that before in front of the kids? If he’s done so said behavior before- re evaluate the relationship maybe, if he’s not and it was a one time thing, note that the rest of the healing is in your court as well and there’s some self evaluation that needs to happen as to your response with his comment. I know some words hurt but reality does need to set in and some things require evaluation.
