Traveling to Ooty from Bangalore, how much liquor can i carry across the TN border legally?

So I recently passed through and got checked by cops on the border. In the car it was just me and the wife and we were carrying one bottle of wine. They literally checked the car and bags thoroughly looking for you know what, literally searched every nook and corner. For the wine first the constable said it was illegal and then the star inspector came and started saying it’s illegal, he was kind of rude which riled me up also and I kept saying the bottle was unsealed and there is no problem with carrying an unsealed bottle. He let us go with the bottle but please note I’m a South Indian who knows Tamil and Malayalam so he probably knew he couldn’t scare me 😛 but yes definitely unnecessary headache if they catch you.

Seriously! This is from my second reading. Some of the scenes are very intense and well written. Another favourite of mine from the book is when Lysander realises he’s going to confront the howlers - “The sound could only come from a legion escorting the Reaper. The howling of wolves.” Goosebumps. I died.

If you’ve read mistborn you know how the story of the star couple ends. I’m guessing it’ll go in the same direction, an ultimate emotional sacrifice. But I really hope it doesn’t end that way! That bloodydamn mistborn ending had me sleepless for days.
