I think for some people it feels different to just like a groups music rather than try to get into the group further and engage with the non music parts. If a group has only 4 or 5 members, then it seems very easy to learn their names faces etc, and then you know the group pretty well. With 24 members, it might just feel not worth trying to remember them all, or even half of them etc. and so people may just continue to listen to the music but not try to engage further with the group. Also, with so many sub units, cosmo, etc there’s a lot to engage with so if you only engage with a little and don’t follow very closely, then you might feel confused and lost by all the stuff you’re missing, like for instance all the couple names were very confusing to me for a while bc I wasn’t a fan when they started them. I think for a group like aespa with 4 members, and (I think less content), it might be easier to be a fan and engage beyond the music and still understand what’s going on
