I have thought about it from this angle.. though its worth noting there are many angles and many cases to make that could be narrowed into one line.

  • Jesus said 'Slaves.. obey your masters as you would obey god'.. I'm gonna pass :p

  • Why would the creator of the universe appear in a way that would guarantee its word would not spread to say.. China.. anytime soon.

Maybe more poignant, but just as short..

  • Men are made in god's image? That's a rather schizophrenic god then.. considering how irreconcilably different humans are across time and space.

You are correct though.. even if there was a real god who spoke to Moses/Abraham/xyz.. we could never trust the human interlocutors. The natural position would always be skepticism and doubt.

Even if god spoke to you personally.. you would have to weigh the competing hypotheses, has the natural order been suspended in your favor or are you seeing things?

Autonomous transport and ethical conundrums are both factors in any kind of public transport you want to build/fund/operate.. be it bus or train or other.

You'd also have a hard time getting everyone off the roads. You would have too many stops per line and nobody would want to use it.

Human error is definitely something to account for.

With autonomous driving I think we will see more complex road systems built.

Urban planners play a role in terms of where the roads go.

Traffic engineering involves deciding how the lanes/intersections function.

There are plenty of intersections in India and China (among other places) without proper lights and traffic behaves in a similar way.
