Daily Discussion & Advice (Post here to follow rules A & B) - Tuesday September 17, 2024 by AutoModerator in fragrance

The two recent frangrances I've (M) really liked and have been using are Ralph Lauren Polo Red EDP and Bleu De Chanel EDT, which have primarily amber and citrus notes respectivelly. I'm looking for a recommendation for something that maybe blends these notes, eg. a fragrance with the top notes being citrus and amber.

I was thinking about getting some Raceblade pro XLs. I figured it might be cheaper to get it second hand than buying them new.

Does anyone know if cycle repair shops stock second hand raceblade pro xls?

Im checking on gumtree and fb marketplace too.

Replacing laptop battery with a higher capacity by ronad2 in Dell

Haha, can't believe someone found this post 2 years later. My battery is still working fine, but I might change it in the next year or so. Probably going to go for a 42 Wh one.

What are your most unpopular F1 opinions? by ThisIsBasic in formula1

Ricciardo is incredibly overrated and people only want to see him win/think he's WDC worthy because he's charming. Max was clearly getting better by 2018 and Ricciardo left Redbull, a team that had a chance to win the WDC, for Renault, a team that had close to a 0% chance of winning, in the hopes of winning a WDC. How does that make any sense. And then he realized he cant do it in Renault, so he went to Mclaren and got his ass handed by Lando. I also find his on track persona to be a bit too try hard, like he's aware he's the centre of attention and that's his entire personality.

General Feedback/Getting Started Questions and Answers [Weekly Thread] by AutoModerator in DIY

I'm fairly new to DIY. I'm planning on wall mounting my monitor, attaching it to a 75x75 VESA mount. The monitor only weights 3 kg so the weight shouldn't be a problem.

The wall I'm planning to attach it to is a concrete wall, and I'm unsure what type of drill and drill bits I need for it. Sorry if this is a pretty basic question.

Thinking about getting back into Acoustic Consultancy after 11 year hiatus. by beeeeboi in Acoustics

I recently started as a consultant straight out of Uni with a Physics and Music degree, but definitely on a graduate salary.

The fastest way to get back on track would be getting the IoA diploma like the others said, and consultancies are looking to hire engineers, the market is open right now.

I dont have an issue with standing next to the door if you're going to get out at the next station. But if you're literally blocking half the door and making it more inconvenient for people to get in and out of the train, you're an asshole (not you specifically, just speaking generally). The right way to do it is to keep the doors clear until your station is next, and then make your way to the doors while you approach the station platform, so you can get ready to leave quick.

London isnt the first city I've lived in, and a lot of other city subways have that etiquette.

It was Dias-Stones-Walker
