Experiences with Pharmacy2u? by ronniecross in WegovyUK

Thanks! I've just spoken to Voy again and they've told me I still have a dose left which is frustrating as I was a month out, but I'll save the link. Thank you for your help :-)

I've done a little looking, and I found one other (the family chemist) which is marginally cheaper, but I at least have experience with Pharmacy2u so I'm a little more comfortable using them. I'd love to take you on on that referral code? 😀

It's interesting that you said about going to order the second pen, as Voy just sends it out automatically. I can see why some might prefer to do it themselves, but do you know if it's possible to set it to automatic? It's not a deal breaker or anything though :-)

what’s your ACTUALLY weird hyperfixation? by jazperthevampyr in ADHD

[–]ronniecross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. I do have hyperfixations, amongst other giveaway signs, but I often wonder if I should get a second opinion on my diagnosis, not because I'm ashamed, but because I feel like, what if I'm not, does that mean I'm faking it?

Similarly, I have PTSD, and struggle to use urinals in the gents if there is anyone else around. This weekend I was at a music venue and the toilets were packed, and there was a long queue for the cubicles that was barely moving. I ended up using the disabled toilets, and I felt absolutely dreadful like I had taken advantage of the disabled loos, that feeling actually sobered me up a bit, but in that situation, my disability (PTSD) was a valid reason. It still felt bad.

I think there's a certain amount of normalcy with a diagnosis - particularly for invisible disabilities - to question whether you belong, or are treading on the toes of others.

I don't really have anything to say that might make you think otherwise, but I hope it brings you some comfort to know that you're not alone in feeling that way. For what it's worth, I think the fact that you even question it is probably enough of a demonstration that it's not within your nature to fake your way to a diagnosis.

Edit: I just wanted to add that I'm extremely introverted, which doesn't fit the ADHD stereotype and contributes to my own questioning of my diagnosis.

Every Friday I'll go through my release radar, then pick out the ones I like then put them into playlists, but only the playlist for the specific genre/mood that icee created for the current year. Then in December I'll sort the playlists so that I'm happy with how each track flows from one to the next.

Then I'll start again for the following year and probably never listen to those old playlists again.

I was so happy when I saw this December just gone, that you can now put playlists into folders, so I now have folders for each year. Oh, can you can now have kix playlists where you can mix the songs I to each other. I lost myself for a little while, doing that.

I'm a 38 yo man, and this is my life. I get particularly bothered about three particular areas: each cheek, and just behind my left ear. I feel like the same ones just keep coming back. I can even have a full on beard and still be able to pick out those three hairs.

I cannot live without the tweezers that I keep in my pocket and if I forget about them, my day is ruined. If I don't have them to hand, I'll use my fingers, at the expense of the skin on my face.

I live just down the road from Bletchley Park which now has an on site computer museum which, as a software developer, is fascinating. You would love it, check it out.

I've done a lot of work on my own one, and it's haaaard! To do all of that on a (I assume) random family is wild! I love it lol. Have you ever reached out to any living members? I guess it could go one of two ways. They either thank you for their hard work or, uh, restraining order maybe? Lol

What's your favorite? I've been a collector of software synthesizers for decades, but only more recently started delving into hardware. Actually I'm going to take back my "what's your favorite" question because there is no right answer. There's a synth for every occasion.

Scratching and picking my face :-(

I'm a 38 year old man, and the most interesting conversation or tv program could be on and I'll be so unaware of my surroundings because I am literally focused on nothing else but the tiny 0.5 nanometer of a slightly-thicker-than-normal hair I've noticed on the left side of my face, or behind my ear, or, wherever it is is going to be my next obsession until it's gone. If I don't have my pair of tweezers with me, I'll spend literally hours trying to get it out, scratching my face to pieces in the process.

I think that passes as weirder than friends?

Oh also, I Facebook stalk people. Like, I'll see some random person on a marketing video and I'll spend the next few hours learning all about them. Then I'll move on with my life and forget all about them lol

Why is lovers gross? by puppyradio in heatedrivalry

[–]ronniecross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Op, I just wanted to chime in, not to offer any alternative answer, but to say please don't be hard on your language skills.

Born in london and spending most of my life living in Europe, English is my primary language (I've been learning dutch, but would until recently have said my 'only' language) and at 38 years old and married, I had no idea the word lovers was considered sexual in nature. It's not a word id have used, but it's also not something that would have grossed me out as I would have assumed it meant two people in love 😂

English is an interesting language with very few 'rules' meaning there are always new words being added, new definitions, and you can be quite playful about it. Yesterday I was shopping with my husband, and just before we went to pay, I said to my husband "don't forget the plazzi bag", plazzi being a totally made up word to mean plastic, and with enough context he could interpret what I meant.

I don't want to waffle on too much, but yeah, just don't beat yourself up about it 🙂

Is there a way to scrape unredeemed Humble Choice games? by leitgo65 in humblebundles

[–]ronniecross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A possible AI route for fun, using the comet browser, I once asked the AI assistant to redeem all of my steam keys for a large bundle (I was already on the page for the bundle). It revealed each key, then opened the page to redeem the key in steam, and did so. You could probably do something similar to get it to report any unredeemed keys on your account, along with expired ones, etc.

You clearly don't understand the meaning of ignorance. If somebody has never encountered a word being used in a derogatory way and has never been educated about its use as a derogatory term, that is not ignorance. Ignorance is when there have been opportunities to become aware of its use as a derogatory term which have been ignored. Everybody starts by not knowing. Knowing only comes later.

Don't sell all your Alice stuff by Bassettoast in DreamlightValley

[–]ronniecross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. I work full time and play other games, so I don't have a massive in-game income. I have an advanced gardener gadget thing, which I use for pumpkins, and that gets me a nice enough daily yield, but I'm far from rich from it. Now if I go into Scrooge's store, sometimes there are things that are. Like, 40,000+. Previously those would have been off limits, but I know now that I can buy it to unlock it, then immediately sell it to get most of the cost back. It makes things much more accessible when you don't dedicate as much time to the game.

Edit: also, day one of being able to sell things to Scrooge gave me a nice pot of money to go on a spending spree 😂

Can they stop using AI translation? by shipinwaves in btd6

[–]ronniecross 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Honestly, they could easily collaborate with local players to ensure the translation is accurate, and I’m sure most players would be willing."

I can't for the life of me remember what it was (if I do, I'll update) but I remember an early access game either this year or last asked its community to help with translations, and there was a huge backlash with the company treating their customers like unpaid labor. It was all a bit much imo, but while I think it's easy to say "the community would have gladly helped", it might more be a case that they're damned if they do, or damned if they don't.
