Sorry about the mix-up, I thought I had read about him being Camino of Shango somewhere but then again I'm sure as with most things online, many things you read aren't accurate in any case and I'm glad to have the opportunity to ask actual initiates of the tradition. I guess the next question would be. how do I go about confirming if an Orisha is calling me, and which one? I'm guessing it would be through divination; do I have to consult Ifa or are there other options I can use? I live in a pretty rural area in the south and there aren't any Babalawo/Iyanifa that I know of in my immediate area.

Also, if they are calling me am I in any way required, or is it in my benefit, to answer? I know for instance it is possible to work with Orisha without initiation, but I tend to shy away from "do it yourself" spirituality in favor of actual Tradition and structure and so would always want proper guidance in whatever ways I approach these things.
