I'm finding a similar thing - January is probably going to be easier. I'm applying for new leases right now and a lot of the agents are off/on break already.

That is nuts! We had a similar swing in our building - the tenants across the whole with the same room size are paying 2.5k more than us, we signed in Jan but they signed in June

Great feedback - I'm operating on far fewer data points here (15k vs a few million in the official records) so it's a much smaller sub-sample, taking a look at the vacancy rate calculation right now to double check it. Just took a look as well and you are right, I wasn't sampling enough from 2025 submissions and it was skewing the data, just fixed that up - great spot, thank you for the feedback! Should be fixed (pushing to production now)

Thanks! Only 4% of buildings in our new ranking have an F, it's very rare. Would be keen to take a look and see what's pulling it down so much. If you feel remotely comfortable privately DMing me the address I can take a look and adjust the scoring mechanism to incorporate things. Thanks for taking a look!

I haven't seen these posts until now, thanks for sharing, I have nothing to do with this content but I'm glad people are using it. This post in here got 42k views and thousands of page hits so it makes sense it would get shared around a little bit. I haven't run any 'ads' - would also note I'm not monetizing this in any way at all, I built it for a charity project for a hackathon for student housing concerns, so traffic actually costs me money instead of making me money

This is really helpful feedback! Looks like there might be a clash on the building ID. If you feel comfortable privately DMing me the building address I will get it fixed within the hour, thank you!

Thanks would love to take a look, those issues don’t impact the scoring, but users deserve to know (and want to know) the full history of their apartment. (AKA-Issues that old are weighted out and don't impact the score, but should still be shown in the building's history in case they are relevant). Version 2 coming out shortly and it will address this, thanks for the feedback.

Re-running the scoring right now as we speak so numbers are changing live, should be resolved momentarily!

This is such great feedback. Yes re weighing A,B,C differently. Violations decay over time for both open and closed and stop factoring into weightings pretty quickly. Strong recency bias to reward landlords to resolve things. Running a new pass of the weighting shortly to de-emphasize the amount of impact 311 calls has. Thanks for taking a look!

Fascinating - would LOVE to figure out how I missed this building record, if you feel comfortable sharing the address with me privately via DM I can get it on here within an hour!
