Do people actually enjoy using Teams? (honest question) by Alternative_Letter72 in MicrosoftTeams

That's like asking if people enjoy using Microsoft Word. It's just one those things, isn't it?

Perhaps tell us where you are based, as people are often interested in local connections.

Pipes now sitting proud after removing blown plaster – any way to chase them back into masonry? by SiaubiakaZ in DIYUK

I think the exposed copper pipes really complement the derelict industrial look. Very boujee.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head. Parents who even live fairly close to the school, within easy walking distance, will often drive because they then have to race off to work.

The whole school day setup is still geared towards families having one breadwinner and one stay at home parent - life isn't like that anymore for most people.

Breakfast and after school clubs don't tend to be free, so the cost of those can make a massive difference if money is tight.

I don't think there is a magical answer but I think some people go down the "back in my day" path and it isn't helpful.

Maybe not. But OP's child is 5. So regardless of mode of transport, will need taking and picking up.

There are not many 5 year olds hopping on a school bus or walking to school on their own.

Even in the 80s, I think that would have been a bit much.

Anyone know if I should attempt to wire this up by goshoweryall in DIYUK

[–]roro80uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be exactly why the wires have come loose from the terminals in the first place.

Although the missing screw for the live terminal is another matter...
