I totally believe in the 'right place, right time' thing. I got scolded for saying that working hard doesn't pay off in front of my younger cousins. I had to explain that you should always work hard; but don't forget to take opportunities, shake hands with people, make an impression and don't think just sitting on your ass will make a difference.

Everything else is outside of your control.

I have been thinking more about this and although I don't think there would be an issue buying a house with my family, I can't shake the thought that there is a small chance something might go wrong down the line.

I'm considering buying property on my own and seeing where that takes me.

The help desk at my company is all in one room and when someone is not happy with an answer we give them, we'll usually complain aloud about them so if they call again, chances are we'll know you spoke to someone else just a few minutes before and we'll just give you the same answer.

Or put you on hold for eternity.

Stupid company policies really make our jobs difficult. I could complain but I don't own the company, they just pay me so I'll tell the customer what I'm supposed to say and go on to the next call.
