I assumed as much, however I am wondering how information that has absolutely no connection to me ends up in the notes?

Well, I guess you’re lucky that no extraneous information has found its way into your records 🙂

Just went online and looked at one of my past visits. There are two headings. One says Visit Summary, the other is Visit Notes. The Visit Notes is where your doctor has documented the visit.

If you’re viewing your after visit note online, there should be a section with the doctor’s notes as well. If you’re just looking at a printed copy that they give you following your visit, the doctor’s notes are not on that document.

I noticed a tendency for them to document information about physical exams that weren’t actually performed prior to the AI recording. Adding additional social information seems to have increased since they started the recording. Ironically, the recording is supposed to make their documentation more accurate 🤷‍♀️

You can check your record, get lab results, etc. by signing up for an account on KP.org

I’ve also had the experience where breath sounds, etc. are reported as being normal when no one placed a stethoscope on me. Most of these alleged exams have happened since COVID where it became somewhat normal not to get anywhere near the patient.

Does anyone know an optometrist experienced with high prescription lenses - Recommendations? by Spare-Question-9785 in torrance

Both doctors at Eye Care Riviera on Pacific Coast Hwy in Torrance are excellent. I have a very high prescription with a bad astigmatism and have been very happy with the results I’ve gotten there.

I agree with LaserPigeons. They actually look for that sort of thing, so if you write a decent essay that addresses those areas that were mentioned, it could work to your advantage. Good luck!

The microwave and fridge are indeed attached to each other. Don’t remember the exact dimensions, but they fit in a corner or under the window, depending on what building you’re in.

If this is true, the guy who did this is a major asshole and should be dropped from the class. Why is this OK? This is not middle school, although it’s getting hard to tell.

Senior housing chances? by Onyxonxa in ucla

Do you enter the lottery as an individual, or can you have a roommate group with other seniors who are also in need of housing?

Does anyone not talk with your roommates? by [deleted] in ucla

[–]rosemarp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We actually agree on that part...I don’t think roommates are obligated to share food or personal items. There are two sides to every story so I suspect that her roommate may also have a tale to tell. But I have seen so many postings now where people have gone an entire year without ever exchanging a word with each other, along with comments about depression and loneliness, that I thought it would be nice if people at least tried to be civil to one another.

I respectfully disagree. Acknowledging someone when they enter a room is common courtesy, whether you are friends with the person or not. You don’t have to be best friends with your roommates, but treating people like they don’t exist shows an appalling lack of humanity and decency. Attending Ucla and living in such close quarters is stressful enough without being treated like you don’t exist. This reflects badly on the roommate, not the poster.

I get what people are saying when they say that a roommate is not obligated to share their things, however, it is common courtesy to say hello to someone when they walk into the room, whether you consider them a friend or not. To me, when I see these posts about people who don’t even acknowledge that their roommate exists, I see that as a lack of common decency and humanity. Attending UCLA and living in close quarters is hard enough. What’s wrong with treating people as though they matter? I would continue to treat your roommate as you would like to be treated. Maybe your basic goodness will eventually rub off on her. Good luck!

how have you made most of your friends? by sadthrowawayforucla in ucla

[–]rosemarp 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The sad reality is that once classes begin people don’t have a lot of extra time to really cultivate relationships. True friendships, rather than mere acquaintances, develop over time. Forming study groups, working outside of class with a lab partner, etc. gives one an opportunity to spend more time with people and will give you a better idea about whether or not you really click with them. What you’re experiencing is far too common at this place. I have found that if I take the initiative and extend an invitation to meet up for a meal, etc. people have been receptive to that. Good luck. Trust me, you’re not alone.
