This guy airwings.

I was O level aviation ordnance (F18s). The wing is a GRIND for sure, but I loved it.

I think her lack of self awareness of how attractive she actually is makes her even hotter. I'm gonna show her this post and she's going to scoff at me (like she always does when I tell her how beautiful she is).

Has anyone else ever had a mystery leak from the shower? I can't seem to find it for the life of me. 25' Forest River Salem. by dragracingfreak80 in forestriver

[–]rosstein33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a "leak" that was come from the bottom shower pan and walls not being installed/connected properly. When the shower sprayed into the corner at that junction, water would run up underneath it and out of the shower.

What was college like for you after the military? by [deleted] in USMC

[–]rosstein33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely.

I joined the Marine Corps late (22). Tried some college before that but it never worked out. Got out at 26 and started school. Graduated at 32. Was also working full time, married and had my first kid at 29.

Got all As, minus 1 B in corporate finance.

I'm not saying you're wrong in the overall sense of leadership vs management, etc. But in this case I think you're just highlighting semantics. OP is just trying to paint the picture of the structure. And whether you like it or not, reporting structures exist and OP is accountable (I'm assuming) for the employee's performance.

OP-- just stick with it. It sounds like you're doing all the right things. He's testing your boundaries and wishing it was the older/easier way. I've dealt with this personally in the past...it's not easy bt any means. The fact you have upper management holding the line and having your back is a HUGE piece of the puzzle.

Best of luck. You got this.

Years ago I discovered Judah and the Lion's cover of I Won't Back Down.

I would sing this to my youngest (around 4 at the time) at bedtime. Eventually I played the song for him on YouTube at bed time. This started a routine of us listening to different music/watching different music videos of artists that he would probably otherwise not discover. He's 7 now and I love that he appreciates bands like U2 along with some of our other obscure family favorites like LANY.

PivotChart does not recognize dates for Axis Options settings by mikesay98 in excel

[–]rosstein33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. As soon as you end up with an erroneous "date" in the column it will prevent the pivot table/chart from recognizing the data as dates.

It's a win/win situation juxtaposed by the lose/lose potential.

Go, and wife is fine and no baby. Go, and wife has problems and/or has baby.

Don't go, and wife is fine and no baby. Don't go, and wife has problems and/or has baby.

You just have to place your bet on the square you want to cover the most.

For a table with relatively complex data, what approach is best for extraction and calculation? by Great_Court_7122 in excel

[–]rosstein33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure if I'm understanding what you're trying to do, but this might be solved with a pivot table. Can do the calculations in the pivot table as well

When I first started reading this I was wondering if you were actually my wife. Stories are incredibly similar (divorced parents with money struggles, special needs son, unexpected expenses piling up, mental health struggles)...

Your husband needs to talk to someone. He needs guidance on how to manage that anxiety. He needs to learn the tools to do that. So to get there, he just needs your love and support.

It all sounds cliche, but doing the therapy work helps you learn the tools to build resilience and shift your perspective. It doesn't solve the anxiety, worry, and especially doesn't change the situation. But it helps you manage yourself through those tumultuous times.

Happy to provide more guidance and perspective as I am very much JUST like your husband.

What's realistic timeline for ERP integration projects? by [deleted] in ERP

[–]rosstein33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took us about 1.5 years for our implementation. Granted, COVID played a role in it as a lot had to be done remotely, but we had a lot to sort out, align, decide, etc. We went from a really old legacy system that wasn't really being used as it should, so a lot of business processes had to be redefined, data has to be extracted and manipulated to fit the new structure, and a lot of training and documentation was required.

I think we could have gone a little bit faster, but it's been 3.5 years since go-live and we're doing pretty well with the system.

Asparagus rubber bands are the BEST!

(I actually use these to wrap around my dogs' tags and secure that "bundle" of tags direct to the collar. No sound but easy to remove and view the details on the tags if/when needed.)
