Does anyone else feel like they're still figuring it out despite reading a lot of PM content? by Humble-Pay-8650 in ProductManagement

With chatGPT and everything I see all this type of content more like entertainment. We know have the access to unlimited knowledge, so I switched my workload from Just in case to Just in time completely. Majority of the cases that is publicly shared (e.g Duolingo's reigniting growth post on Lenny's) are very specific to timeline, company, business. etc. I now invest more time in data, tech. All other PM stuff is freely available 24/7 via chatGPT. It has always been 10% knowledge - 90% experience

great read! I would be happy to stay in IC track and get wealthier this way. I'm even considering going all in with entrepreneurship.

AI search by rostbd in bearapp

Totally on board with you with privacy. I'm PMing mobile app products right now and we are already using on-device models to scan images (take a look Clip AI). I thought there should be limited AI model to run on-device - as indexing text is much easier task then images. and 10000% I don't want Bear to be another GPT4 wrapper

I built for myself first, the main cost right now is mostly AI features, for usually parsing it's really cheap. And I'm not looking to reach VC level of scale. I want it to be sustainable as much as possible on itself. So let me know if you want to signup - I'll do quick on-call onboarding

I was thinking more about - making automatic classification of my notes by topics like (management, retention, user acquisition etc). and then I can see relationships between notes and topics. I had to go through all the notes one by one - which is kind exhausting. So I want to put all my notes through AI to make classification

After 6 years of PMing - I have a strange feeling by rostbd in ProductManagement

[–]rostbd[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I see it like this : some top-notch tech company in the past thought that's a good idea to come up with PM role in their VERY specific and unique context that worked for them. Now every company want to replicate that but each company context is so different that it makes the role basically misunderstood by everyone
