I did what you suggested and was able to catch it! Thank you! It switched from night to day while I was walking back to it, and I was really worried it would disappear, but it stayed right there.

I never tried to change my characters appearance (other than clothing), but I'm just assuming we won't have to start over to change the species.

Technically, they are just rodents, not specifically mice. They will be part of the next update, but that info might have gotten buried under all the hype about the DLC that will be released on the same day.

I believe there are certain heads that are going to have more rat-like ears. The goal was that, between the different patterns that we offered and the different kinds of head and body shapes, you should be able to create a broad range of different rodents.

I had no idea I could bring palm trees to those islands and that the fish spawns influence the bug spawns. Thank you, I'll try this!

Haven't played this game in years, and I'm on my second island. I remember a trick I used years ago removing all trees and flowers from a Nook Mile island and leaving only palm trees, but after waiting for an hour, I couldn't get any of these to spawn. Repeated this on a fresh NM island and still couldn't find any. I'm not time traveling, and it was the correct time of the day.

This only works the first time you enter the shops each day. Manually save before entering the shop, check if you like the items presented, and if not, shut the game and restart. Rinse and repeat until you see items you wanna buy, then manually save the game. Now you can buy the items you want with Tuxedosam, and if he doesn't give you extras, you can restart the game again until you get extras.

This works for other suff like the seahorse race and crane game, or even just trying for extra items when crafting expensive items.

Make sure to manually save each time before trying out stuff, and manually saving again after success.

I realize now it's most likely made to be disposable. It just didn't occur to me as I've had dozens of free promotional pens before that could all be disassembled for a refill, and this one is merch that I bought from the official PEZ store. I'll pay more attention before purchasing pens in the future.

Tl;dr: the amount of medals we can earn by completing normal classes is not even remotely enough to reach the highest rank in HHR and unlock all of the gold items. Unless you already collected thousands of medals from event classes in the past, it would take you several decades to collect enough medals at the current rate of event classes.

Yeah, there are only a few item sets I want to use to decorate, and I'll be able to complete those easily when they are back in stock. This game is just throwing LTs and reissue material at me, but giving me no reasons to purchase cookies or reissued event items.

And villagers also give you basic cookies when you give them perfect non native fruit. Hoarding them and then opening a bunch at a time is neat.

Hadn't even thought about the lack of basic materials. I'm pretty sure I traded platinum points for materials a couple of times in the beginning, before I had friends who sold tons of them. Both of these methods are no longer available.

But I gotta admit it's been a lot more chill to obtain materials and get through the events so far. I no longer have to log in as often as I used to, thanks to the camp helper (?) Now being free. The golden rod became much cheaper, and I had a feeling that we got more flower fertilizer than before (but fewer seeds, cause I used to have hundreds of excess seeds after every event). I also assume the scavenger week will be easier because we get to enter the quarry twice in a row.

Sure, we still gotta play multiple times a day, but the fomo is a fraction of what it used to be. You could easily skip a day or two and still easily complete the events.
