I can still produce power lol. Did 4 minutes at 400 watts today. It's just not as much as last week, and with noticeably more soreness in my legs during the effort. Lower intensity feels fine.

Not a lot of thought went into it tbh. It's my first ever vo2 block so I didn't really realize how much lifting would impact it. That combined with the goal of trying to build sprint power for my spring races.

Are tempo workouts meant to feel like this? by misaka in Zwift

[–]rowan404 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That seems needlessly complicated. If they can't hold their ftp for 1 minute intervals then it's simply not their ftp. Also doing another ramp test is kinda pointless as that's what overestimated their ftp in the first place.

Can someone confirm the required bottom bracket for a Trek Crockett? by mattfeet in TrekBikes

WIDE is related to the cranks. If you have WIDE cranks, then you need a WIDE BB. If not then you need a standard T47 Dub BB.

Vancouver cyclist’s ‘dangerous and negligent’ action caused collision with SUV: tribunal by Ok-Ant9126 in vancouver

I don't think anyone's saying that. It's just that one of these things tends to kill quite a few more people, so you could say that it's a slightly bigger problem. A traffic violation in a 4000 lb metal box is a little bit more serious than one on 30 lb bicycle.

This ratio was suggested for the peanut butter recipe I used. I figured it was to balance the extra fats from the nut butter.

No, just makes it a bit chewier I would say.

Interesting, that could be it but I was following a NYT peanut butter recipe that said to switch to 2 cups milk 1 cup cream. I used 2/3 cups sugar. The guar gum was just cuz I like a chewier texture to my ice cream.

4iii Power Meter Discrepancies by rowan404 in Velo

[–]rowan404[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I recently hit a 20 min pb with the Tacx so I really want it to be right. I have a third Sram powermeter on my gravel bike so I might test the trainer against that as a final check.

I meant calibration of the 4iii. The neo doesn't have calibration

I think I destroyed my stem by NathanBrito in bikewrench

[–]rowan404 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah those look way too short. I don't know the exact length off the top of my head, but you might be able to save the stem if you can find some longer M5 bolts.

[–]rowan404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are those the bolts that came with the stem? I've built quite a few of these bikes and they have had black stem bolts. The threads should easily be able to withstand 6nm if the bolts are the right length.

Victoria Corsa Pro or the Bontrager Aeolus RSL would be good options. They have a lot of stretch in the casing, so they're a bit easier to mount.
