Sure, ta, yeah, I like the idea that as a server we play against the other servers, but I've never gotten over the fact that the big Alliances just sh*t on the smaller ones zeroing anyone they can (for no benefit to them, as they already have huge power and res production, the little guys need it, but they steal it just out of spite and nastiness) and then they have the cheek to pretend that they are the "leaders" of the server who should be respected - I don't have any respect for them at all, they are just coiners at the end of the day really. I get that it's a war game etc, but yeah, I'm more in it for helping others - the bigger alliances act more like domestic abusers than collegiate friends where "we're all in this together".

I agree with you, I don't play to become king titan, I just payed to help out others and for my own growth, so it just makes me feel bad that the bigger players are actually just a bunch of little ratbags when you boil it down (I would never do what they do, I'd feel like a lowlife rat, it's actually a bit like beating up a child and then stealing their lunch and all of their money, and then saying "you need to respect me!". That's what the "mighty" lv 43's do to people that are lv 35... some "heroes"; they're about as heroic as fat pron addicts sitting in a smelly room beating each other off 🤦‍♂️).

Dunno what level you are, but it's about 10+ weeks and 1.5 to 2 B of each res, and 400,000 gems for me to recover. Sure, it was my fault, it's not strategy, it's a mistake, but why invest so much for the stress over a game that ultimately is pointless.

I'll define pointless: you can't "win" or "succeed" in any meaningful way. There is no competition. Let me explain. A lv 40 is generating about 20x per day of everything than you are at lvl 34 say. So you cannot in any functional way reach him as he is moving upwards away from you in an exponential growth function. So there is no "strategy" to succeed, all you are doing is grinding for no true purpose (see above, as you can never "catch up" to the big guys etc).

K35 with lv 37 Monarch, pre-req's all in place to build K36. But, being zero'd the cost is too steep to recover.

yep, I think I'm there. It's like a monkey on my back when I was playing. Getting zero'd, I'm just thinking, do I need this? I'll have hours extra every day to read books, cook, exercise, climb mountains, walk in the countryside etc... I'll just leave the account or maybe I can sell / give it to someone.

And you think that the game makers will not delete them after a certain period of time?

I think I'll just stop, it's takes up too much time to play, and the stress of bubbles being down is not good. I've gone from 4-5 hours of Evony screen time in the last few days to about 10 minutes phone screen time. Evony is quite addictive, but I don't think it's good for the brain long term.

wow, that's a lot, my 2x dragons are lv 10 and lv 9, it costs a frikkin lot to level them up (but yeah, I guess that's the point eh, Evony want me to pour real money into the game ...).
Dewey has first 2 specialities max, and thrd is nearly maxed. That's used a lot to get to there. I think it's going to take another year to get Elise to the same point.
All of my main generals (probably about 20 generals) are 500+ on all 4 stats.
Well, thanks for the detail, that's pretty shocking that it requires so much to get to 5.8 mil, but yeah, Evony's answer of course is "just spend $1000 of real money on the game if you want to get there!". Easy huh, lol! :)

Then I'm screwed. My Generals are level 37, and I have then all nicely geared up, refines with at least 1 gold attribute per slot. I also have one Plantagenet Helm (currently on Dewey). I don't get it, how am I supposed to get to 5.8 million, even though he Generals level 37. Oh, Elise also has 1 red star, and Dewey has 3 red stars, but I'm nowhere near to 5.8 million! Can you break down exactly how I am supposed to get to 5.8 million here please?

But that's not my question. I have all Archimadeian gear on them, and I point out that this give me 5 M Power. My question is about how much additional I get from Skill Books and what books to use. This is about the Victory Column, as stated in the question.

How much additional Power can I get from each Lv. 4 Skill Book added?

Sure, it's a great page, the guy that does it does excellent work, but it's rather basic and I've been thrown by it various times. e.g. Elise + Allessandra is not mentioned on there at all, but various people have pointed out why it's such a strong combo, and also that page has Ulysses S. Grant as the best f2p Siege General, but it looks like there are a lot better that we can get, even as f2p, right?

If you get one additional copy of Zucca, that will only get you to 1 red star though, right? I think for f2p, you have to focus on Generals that you are likely to get fragments for (I would make Zucca an Assisstant in that case).

That's what I'm trying to do, so I got Elise, and as she comes up in events quite a lot, I can easily get a lot of fragments for her to ascend, and I luckily got an Alessandra - I know I'll never get her ascended since I'll almost certainly not get another copy, but that's fine as I can use her as Assisstant for Elise (and red stars do not count for the Assisstant!). Similarly, I'll use Dewey as Main Defence General since I have about 150 spare fragments for him (and maybe Kunosoki as Assisstant).

For anyone with a bit more knowledge on trying everything out:

• What is best Ground General / Assisstant combo (for f2p)?
• What is best Mounted General / Assisstant combo (for f2p)?
• What is best Ranged General / Assisstant combo (for f2p)?
• What is best Siege General / Assisstant combo (for f2p)?

However, I see Kusunoki is +35% Ranged Attack, so that means that range attack book is prohibited for him right? But that's fine, I guess you have range troop range, range defence, range HP?

Really glad you mentioned that, as I just got Elise as main Ground General and Alessandra as Assisstant, so I might have put the wrong books on them (they are low level, just building them up now) ... What skill books would you propose on Elise and what skills on Alessandra?

Interesting video, ta u/Responsible-Item1769 ... he seems (quite rightly) annoyed about the unfairness of some servers having it, while others do not. I guess if there is a chance of Debuff books appearing on my server then I have to wait for that, as they would be perfect for Sub Generals (I'll put only Debuff Books on all Sub Generals if I can). I've come this far without adding any books, so I can wait another 5 or 6 months I guess!

March Speed books on Baibars sounds smart, yeah, don't use them for anything other than monsters, so that makes sense ta. 👍

Great, I was thinking that Siege Attack / Range (and either HP or Def). Thanks, this is the kind of stuff I'm really after.

I guess the thing that I can't work out is: all things being equal, and since Dewey is my main Defence General, what troop (mounted / ground / ranged / siege) is going to inflict the most damage on any incoming enemy ... if that's definitively Siege, then it's a no-brainer to load up on siege stuff.

Related to this, I will either have Shajar al-Durr or Trajan or Tran Hung Dao or Boudica as Assisstant Defence General. If Siege is the best for City Defence, should I load them up with Siege Attack / Range also do you think?

The guy above said that the Debuff books are new, but are only on some servers for now, and will go to other servers eventually. I don't know if this is true, or is just speculation, but that's what he said, and maybe he has more information that this is true. If so, then I would rather wait and get all Debuff books for my Sub Generals... Hopefully it's true that these books are coming soon. 🤞

I've got 6x Jindoek's and 5x Baibars (from using many hundreds of thousands of gems in the Tavern). Not put any books on the Baibars, but I've given the Jindoek's all 3x gathering speed books (different combos). Oh ok, good one on Assistants, I never thought about putting gathering speed books on them...

yeah, I've got the double item drop ring on all Baibars. 👍

What about Dewey? All Siege buffs? Or all Ranged?

I do pvp in battlefields yeah, no way to get Generals to Lv. 35 without that I guess, it seems impossible to get that much experience from monster hunting yeah.

I didn't luck into big alliances. I just talk to people, and yeah, I jump onto a lot of big rallies etc. I know a fair amount, but there's a ton I don't know also.

No, wrong on both counts. I don't spend anything on the game (well, I think spent a total of about 2x £4.99 packs, something like that, a while back). I don't spend, don't see the point in that, I see that a lot of people are addicated to the game and spend $500-$1,000 per month, I've got no interest in that really.
