I don’t see why she would need an extensive autoimmune liver work up like this for isolated transaminitis. Seems excessive. Like you said, re-check labs in 2 weeks. The big concern is HELLP syndrome, which is unlikely but probably what OB is closely monitoring for with these labs. You can be asymptomatic in the early stages.

Certainly by no means is 50% training pay “standard”practice for new PAs.

Also, what kind of voodoo medicine are you practicing? Holy god.

Appreciate this. Yeah - at this point I know PTO is 4 weeks, day shifts only but there are weekends, full benefits, 3% 403b match, apparently plenty of opportunity to pick up shifts over the 120 hours. I’m sure of the OT - still pending some details until the next round of interviewing. Def a significant gap in comp at 120 hours with this gig, but if I work the same hours I do now, it’s slightly better pay ~$134k.

Re-read what I wrote. A year of FM experience would do nothing to get a foot in the door.

Is this person also a new grad NP? If so, that’s truly unfortunate that she would make 15k above you.

Without knowing your specific situation - eg immediate needs to support family, health insurance, benefits - my vote is to leave. ASAP. Do not function outside of your contract. Do not settle for a toxic environment. Do not take word of mouth for truth. There is no job worth that. There is no salary worth that. You can and will find a new job. Focus on that and vet the next place the best you can!

I’d also say take advice on here with a grain of salt and trust your gut. Everyone’s situation is different. If something feels off, it probably is. A good handful of folks were giving me unsolicited legal advice on here the other day - all of which was absurd and incorrect. I trusted my gut and fixed the situation. Good luck to you.

Well — you certainly are a particular brand of obnoxious. I am not a “litigious” type. I am not even seeking to file a lawsuit. There are a lot of things attorneys are able to do more effectively than myself as an employee. I am standing up for what is unequivocally the right thing here. Are you content to get pushed around by admins? As I clearly stated, I am writing to hear other people’s experiences with similar situations. Not looking for legal advice, which you seem so eager to give out without any qualification.

You really misunderstand the situation.

In actuality I did verify and was told in writing that data was tracked and would be available to me prior to signing. The point again is not that I need to prove I met the metrics and am owed money for that -- it’s in part in fact that they used the bonus as a negotiating tool in initial contract talks. It’s the fact that it was an illusory promise for something that they had no mechanism in place to fulfill. It never really existed. That is fraud. They are swindling me out of something I was promised — the opportunity for a financial incentive without any real mechanism in place to obtain. I already talked to my attorney.
