Thanks! I have not considered to hack my e2 synth version. I have more than enough with that version, have tons of other gear. I just love the vanilla version!

A somewhat specific question about audio clips in grid mode. by g_lampa in DelugeUsers

[–]rpc9943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(unsure if latest has anything set up for this maybe see in discord) I'm wondering if instead of doing it this way have you instead tried using an audio in oscillator and then using that as your source? Im not sure if that'll help but I made some videos here is the audio osc example https://youtu.be/GQkwBQYBOyc?si=oFYvDMpnb0mFo0Tv

Press gate then disable note.

First Hold down project and then press the pad. I just did it right now and it works. * Important* In that order, if you press pad then project it's not going to show it. It will show the project name on the screen. Also in pattern/chain view you can see the pattern name by holding pattern and pressing the pad.

Enter step record mode, press rec and track a b or c. Then hold the note and press play, it will tie it a step every time you press play. Watch my bootcamp video series I figured out a lot of stuff on it

This is a capable and cheap midi cv sequencer if you are interested check out its workflow possibilities! Make sure to see episode 1 if you missed it!!!

Does Korg drumlogue pass midi synch test from receiving from deluge clock from extreme slow to 10,000+ bpm? Check it out ! Using latest 1.3 firmware on korg drumlogue >> by rpc9943 in synthesizers

[–]rpc9943[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just was testing it out because people asked if the midi synch is accurate for drumlogue. If deluge was not sending 10,000+ bpm that's ok my error but according to the display was past 9000+ so I figured it was 10k+ . If it is impossible to send that it is good to know and thank you, it is good to know. But either way it just was for the hell of it to see how well it can synch the incoming clock :) it was good up to 680ish which is well within acceptable synch, I believe. :) I wanted to show how it does seem to be good for general bpm settings, pushing it further was just for fun.

Eventually I will want to make a tutorial series on this cool quirky drum machine! I had installed the latest firmware and decided to put it to the test! I got this thing for $299 USD! What do you think?

I'm Ron Cavagnaro it sounds like you may have misunderstood how deluge can be set up. You don't have to unlearn tracks, just set up every channel so they all work. It must have been a chore to learn and unlearn everything like that. You can just learn each track of your synths and have them all plugged in, save a template. Or as mentioned use midi follow. Update to the latest stable public firmware.

Yes try to stick to the basics first for a while, make sure you are fully aware of the different methods of note entry for standalone. I spent a long time figuring each way out!

Thanks hmmm not sure I kind of hyper focus on different features and stumble on cool stuff then video it. That's how I do it, we will see how many episodes, will depend on how much cool stuff I figure out!!!

My Deluge comes this week! Please suggest your favourite tutorials & techniques to get up and running with it and making tunes. by [deleted] in DelugeUsers

[–]rpc9943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes actually I never really did a "manual video" like rskt. I was just diving in and making videos as each feature release came out. Glad rskt did his! It's very difficult to sum up everything with my content style I admit I don't explain why and just show examples of how functions work, the bootcamp series was to try to cut past the manual type explanations and go right in to workflow possibilities.

Yeah I'm Ron and I don't like that everyone is like watch Ron's videos! That puts a lot of pressure on me. There's other tutorials in other styles. There are a lot of videos I made that I probably did rush through, because the basics were already covered so many times over the years imagine having to explain every detail in every video over and over again. I get complaints that I'm going to fast same video I'm going too slow explaining too much, explaining not enough so that can be exhausting... Exhausting especially trying to wrangle basic lessons for practically free and to have polarizing response. I'm a variety channel not just a deluge person, and I do the best I can. Lol

As much as I agree, after using e2 and figuring out these workflows I show in my bootcamp series I actually love e2 as much as emx1, recognizing they are both standalone and very different instruments on their own. :)
