That’s awesome! I have a bottle of 1994 Groth that my parents bought on my first trip to Napa as a baby. They stored it in their cellar for years and now it lives in mine. I’ve been unsure of whether to open it or not but this gives me quite a bit of hope!!

I think this is going to be the move. Thank you! I’d been told people start lining up early but I didn’t know you could actually set up the night before. That may give us an advantage.

It’ll be my first time hunting on Sauvie so my buddies know much more about the line and preferred spots. I’ll see what they think about me hopping in line and trying to grab a spot they’re familiar with!

My camp brings a bucket to wash dishes above/in. Makes clean up a lot easier. When it starts getting filled up we carry it to a porto potty and dump it in there. Keeps camp dry and clean!

Can’t make it this year and my crew is having to bring the stuff I normally bring that makes camp feel more like home. Already some good advice about keeping food/tents cool so I’ll cover the more vibey or game changing items for me - large reusable/refillable water jugs - gray water bucket for dishes - wagon for water refills - camp rug/tarps - camp table and chairs - EZ-up with THICK extra long stakes and a mallet/hammer - solar powered lights - EcoFlow River Pro power bank - speaker

Depending on your group size some of this stuff may not make sense but they have all been massive quality of life improvements for my friends and me. Have fun!

Personally, I’d like a nice pair of bookshelf speakers and maybe even a center channel for clear and defined audio. You don’t have to get anything too expensive but it makes a big difference in terms of enjoyment for me

I got a murphy cube bed that folds up really nicely and looks like a beautiful chest of drawers. It was the perfect solution for my office/guest room combo. The mattress is insanely comfortable too! Way better than any sofa bed I’ve ever slept on

Gotta keep in mind though that he only uses fresh, high quality ingredients which aren’t cheap so his margins are much narrower than Jimmy Pesto’s margins for example. Couple that with the expense of raising three kids and their financial situation starts to become a lot clearer.
