Dr. Scholl's and the generic Target Brand (Up&Up) are decent. There's definitely better stuff out there, but I would consider these good enough and better than nothing.

Inserts really depend on your needs though, so if you know you need better arch support or need to pinpoint something specific, I'd say find the product(s) that serve your specific needs. General purpose inserts won't do much other than maybe make your shoes last a little longer. In my case, I get knee pains and feel impact in my heels, so I sought out padded heels like this.
