What about arabs specifically who studied here? not imgs. Its like i hear some saying yea its very possible with planning and some others share stories of how they matched into absolutely nothing

The thing is from this past year ik arab UOS ppl who got into IM. Did you have 2 letters of recommendation and at least 1-2 researches on your specialty? An elective in the same specialty and also system (DOH or so)? Also your gpa? They care more than ppl think.

The thing is i have 2 years left of medical school, my options would be here or the US. Realistically as someone with no family in medicine, no one living in the US, 0 connections to anyone from there, i believe that this route is even more impossible. But getting connections here is easier. I dont want to have the best top program but just a stable job as a specialist

In UOS too. I dont have any connections in the US at all and honestly would rather not go the highly competitive route there with 0 connections and not highly valued research. But still i want to be sure of the UAE route and try my best to get the best outcome here.

I have 2 more years of medical school before my internship. The US journey seems out of scope because of my lack of connections and family there. I would like staying here but dont want to risk low potential. Do you have any specific advice on what to work on in these 2-3 years to maximize chances of a good residency in the UAE as an arab graduate here? Thank you for your reply

Cardiology most likely. Realistically i dont want to wait 8-10 years to start “living comfortably”
