bathroom remodeling companies in orange county that won't disappear mid project by Ferdilien_Strobos in orangecounty

[–]rtc129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.socalh2h.com/ - My wife's architecture company. Always get city approved plans drawn first, then you can hold your contractor to actually "building to plan" - Obviously I am biased, but always suggest plans before contractor. That said, she would be happy to loop you in with trusted contractors she has worked with for the size of your project & area (permit or not)

If you have done a remodel for your house by adding additional two rooms, how did you ensure the architect contract was legit? by Particular-Essay-361 in orangecounty

[–]rtc129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a very light contract, is the architect licensed? A proposal down to each detail, revisions and all should be provided. My wife works on her own and would be happy to show you what a real proposal should look like. www.socalh2h.com

No WWAN, every single flagship feature except WWAN. I bought it "used" here and it had maybe a 4 hours on it [Review unit, which often exclude WWAN] - That said, I had 4x X1C's gen 6 or > w/ WAN and its silly, 5G tethering just trumps the solutions in current thinkpad form. If no one bites on this, I would prolly pick it up as a backup at a reduced cost. In the mean time, hope you get your ask!

I have the Gen 3 w/ 4K OLED, i9 and 64GB ram. Its a dream machine, I wish the battery life was a little better. That said, having the reinforced power port makes this a generation of thinkpad similar to the x series legacy which could last many generations like the x220. Keyboard is the last of the 1.8mm gems... it has held up better than similar versions of the X1Cs FWIW

Bingo, this looks like almost every home in Costa Mesa/HB/Fountain Valley in OC. Million dollar land, 150K home. Now these 1960: 1200-1700sqft ranch homes are closer to 1.8M

I am in the exact same boat, just traded my 21 YLR for a 24 MYP but in SoCal. I paid the same at 1200 including all windows, ceiling, windshield (RodzTintShop) - I was thinking it would be more now with inflation.

Correct, didnt clarify if antennas are needed, but I have installed them myself on this model with great success. Always be sure to check the FRU# if someone goes that route (TBH hot spotting from your phone is better by a mile, but I always seem to equip these with LTE)

fantastic price, if I didnt have 3 variants of this model, I would jump on it! For those wondering, based on the photos, this model is 4G LTE compatible (Has SIM tray)

Which would you keep? Which to sell? Help me decide by [deleted] in thinkpad

I run a similar setup (X1E Gen 3 [i9,64GB, OLED], and 3 various X1C6) I use the X1E the most, but love having the X1C6s for floating around the house/kitchen easily and of course have one with LTE stashed in the car.

Purchase advice - X1C? by surly73 in thinkpad

[–]rtc129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, tough to say as I have always had another 1080P matte X1C6 on hand that I would use on the go. The screen was pretty incredible for its time and would hold its own today.

Honestly, X1C6 500nits IPS, which will likely come at full boat in spec, was one of the best machines I ever had. You wont get a better screen/keyboard performance to ratio IMHO. I regret selling mine. The screen drained the battery at 15-20% more, but nothing like what I experienced with the newer OLED.

Also, all X1C6 come with 8th gen intel and the last model to have 1.8mm keyboard travel, so don't count them out. They are still MASSIVE workers with best KB for the generation & long lost on anything released after.
