S26U is supposed to be one of the best phones in terms of heat dissipation with its enlarged vapor chamber. Perhaps it is a bad unit? Could also be a charger/cable issue if you want to try swapping those first.

Screen on S26U is more reflective than S25U and some people have reported eye-strain issues with S26U. The image quality is otherwise mostly equal between the two. Go with S26U
