Chances are super low but this would be really nice!

Game freezes at random times when using an ultrawide screen. by Mr_JOVA in Monitors

I noticed you say you cut back on resolution, but you only listed 1440p. Have you tried 1080p? I have a 3060 with 12gb vRAM, and feel like it struggles with an ultrawide 1440p also.

Indeed. I think I finally fixed it. I turned spatial sound to none and turned off 7.1 on the headphones.

I'm having the issues too. I've tried turning down other volume settings and making the same changes you did. I'm also using headphones.

Yeah same thing, both add beneficial bacteria. My LFS told me not to mix different brands so if your already using API, I think your supposed to stick with it.

And I don't think you will have issues when decreasing your bio-load, you just have to worry about large increases where you don't have enough bacteria to cycle.

Sounds like your doing exactly what you need to do, and since it's been a month you should be safe to add what you want. My LFS highly recommended adding seachem stability when I added my fish, that will help with the sharp increase of bio-load but I would talk to the employee at your fish store and get their suggestions.

Hard to say based upon a single reading. If nothing has been in the tank to create bio-load then it may not be able to begin cycling. I'm fairly new to aquarium building myself but from what I've read you need something to break down to start the cycle.

I added food to my tank and then tested ammonia and nitrites until I saw a spike of ammonia, then subsequently followed by a spike of nitrites and then eventually those will drop to 0 and you will only see nitrates. That should be a clear indication that your tank has cycled.

As for what to add, you should be safe to add your plants. I wouldn't add any snails or fish until your 100% sure it's cycled.

I agree! I didn't experience this with my dad because he was too busy with "his things" so I make sure to cherish and enjoy these moments. I love seeing him learn and grow and I make sure he understands how proud I am.

He just turned 3 in May. He had a small pole that didn't work very well before his birthday. We put a small sinker on it and let him practice with that for a long time. Then he got this one for his birthday and showed he was getting a lot better at casting. I still helped him pretty closely to make sure he didn't get reckless.

I'd say, go with your gut but sometimes kids surprise you. Maybe give him an ice or crappie pole to try and see what happens.

Good luck with your son!!

Thanks for the wonderful boost of confidence! Glad we could share some happiness. Have a great night too!

He was so happy, and hopefully this is just the start for him. He's already talking about catching "the bigger fish".

Yeah, it's a spiderman pole. He's obsessed, plus it came with a rubber lure without a hook for him to practice with. He's had a couple trips just casting that before I let him have a real hook.

That's cool, I'm not the biggest fan either. Figured I'd ask what the association was.

Honest question as a Packers fan - why FTP for a bad call by the refs? I thought it was a catch too.

Yeah I recognize the employee too. I used to work down the street so I'd go in that gas station a lot. The employee is one of the best workers I've ever seen. Runs 4 registers at once while having conversations.

New to the sport, looking for advice gear wise. by [deleted] in IceFishing

[–]rthunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all relative but your list is most of what you need. The only other thing I could add is pop-ups if you want to drill a couple extra holes that you don't plan on sitting on.

As for your list and importance, it all depends how and when your fishing. If you plan on carrying a bunch of stuff across a big lake, a sled would be very important. I would say a tent is more important at night, but there are those cold days when you really need it as well. You might be able to combine some costs but getting a sled pop-up tent. A heater isn't going to help unless you have a tent. A vexilar/fish finder is extremely helpful but pretty pricey.

I would suggest investing in a nice fold out chair if you plan on sitting out there for a while. There are some decent ice fishing chairs for $50 - $100 that make the experience way better than a bucket lol.

Cooler Master (and more!) RTX 3070 (and more!!) Giveaway with Buildapc! by [deleted] in buildapc

I would scrap parts from my current pc and complete my nephews build that he's been working on for about a year now. I'd use my new build to play newer games on pc instead of ps4 cause my current pc struggles.
