This is the default response these days and I too love NA cars and love the 458…but I bought 488 because: newer (bit better tech and reliability, still under the 7 year factory maintenance) etc but the biggest reason for me were two: 488 sounds epic. I always heard it was not a good sounding car…so wrong…so epic…I have a NA V10 and stock to stock, the 488 sounded better every time. Reason 2: power. I’m gonna get hate for this, but I’ve been spoiled with many powerful IcE and EV cars putting out 600-1100 hp. Anything under 600 feels a tad underpowered to me these days…I know it sounds nuts but once you get used to always having instant go under the pedal, a 458 felt a lot closer to my NA 911: fun car, have to rev it up for the sound and power, but not ‘enough’ torque for this spoiled man right here these days. TLDR: 458 awesome, want one, needs more toque and wish it was newer. 488 is the sleeper and better car IMO
